The National Disaster Management Authority conducted an earth quake mock drill in an IT company situated in the IT Park.

CHANDIGARH: The National Disaster Management Authority conducted an earth quake mock drill in an IT company situated in the IT Park.
The aim of this mock drill was to check the functioning and alertness/response time of external emergency departments involved in the disaster management including the fire and emergency services, MC, police department, health department, response team of NDMA, disaster management.

The main purpose of this mandatory drill is to check the reaction of occupants/employees of the building and to know the workability of fire fighting/detection system installed in the building. So that deficiencies may be removed and further improvement plan may be executed to avoid life and property loss in the important building. Rajiv Gupta, Chief fire officer, SSP and other senior officers of concerned departments have reached the spot immediately.
